To Work Hard

To work hard, or not to work hard? That is the question. Is it nobler.... Alright, I'll stop. I'm having a little bit of trouble to decide on what to right about. I could write a short story on some guy working hard? Maybe some girl? I prefer to write stories, as I'm sure you all will be well aware of when this is all said and done.

"Ey, yo! Manny! Get over 'ere!" The foreman was a tall man, standing at a dizzying six foot seven. He was sitting at a lofty fifty seven years old, and still continued to work. He has served in Vietnam as the age of eighteen, which is where he accredits a majority of his working ability. He had started work straight out of the military, refusing to take sick days or vacation. The man was hard work personified, and he was proud of it. What he wasn't proud of, was the fact that he let so much of his life slip by. He missed his first daughters birth because of his commitment to his job. He missed birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals. Everything that can help determine your outlook on life was pushed to the back of his mind. He helped his family, there was no doubt about that, but at what cost?

Well that was fun, wasn't it? Tell me what you guys think of that. Now, I think hard work is a necessity, but you need to know when to live, as well. The foreman here, lost sight of that, and ended up regretting it in the end.

Introduction Part 2

I need more words! So, I'll post a cool song for everyone to enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIRE6iw-ws4&feature=bf_next&list=PL800F47C8DF9FF949&index=3 That song is called Young Folks by Peter Bjorn and John. The beat is so catchy and the lyrics just make you happy. I really enjoy the animation that was used to make the video, so that helps! I still need to learn how to make the links work /on/ my page. Oh well! So, how is everyone doing? Good, I hope. If not, why not? You better do something that makes you happy! Except.... Oh! You're gross! Come on, man! What?! Put that down! Alright... I'm done now. - D Suz

Introduction

Hello, everyone! This is Donnie's first blog, and I hope it's enlightening. I'm an eighteen year old college student, attending Crafton Hills in Yucaipa. I'm a huge sports fan, even though I'm currently lacking an athletic outlet. I want to be a writer when I grow up! Not just any writer, but a comic book writer for the company DC. I feel like I'm really at home when I'm writing an action scene that's meant to be depicted in panels! I listen to everything and anything, when it comes to music. I prefer hip hop or "rap", but like I said, everything and anything. I really am looking forward to reading what all you guys have to say! See you in class- D Suz
