Criticism
Everyone enjoys being critical, to some extent. I feel like criticism can be delivered with love, and not always in bad ways. A majority of criticism can be someone trying to make you better. If you think about it, that's exactly what they're trying to do. Why give you comments on what you've done, if you didn't want them to improve on their next attempt. All an all, criticism can be a great motivator, or a great demotivator. It all depends on how it is presented. When yelled, some may see it as a demotoivator, even if the intentions of the person who yelled was good. It's all depends on presentation. So, what should I talk about now? I don't have much else on criticism, so... I'll just cut it short for now.

Common sense? WHATCHU MEAN COMMON SENSE?!
It's nice knowing when to do something, and when not to do it. Common sense is an amazing thing, and should definitely not be taken for granted. For example, say some kid you know recently had a child, and that child is sick. Someone without common sense, may approach this person, and offer up a dead baby joke. Now, let's think about the repercussions of that. First, the person who you told the joke, will see you as a witless wonder. They won't take you seriously, because you can't take their child being sick seriously. Secondly, how could you of possibly thought that was a good idea?! Lacking common sense, is like lacking any tact! Embrace the fact that you know appropriate times for certain things, and can fucntion like a regular human being. ENJOY IT! I am literally typing a mile a minute, and now I'm gonna rant. Rant on what, you may ask? Nothing. I plan to rant on nothing? Close to two hundred words already? Well, what do you know. I'm out!

Humility? Stupidity? Bananas.... What even...
Let's talk about humility! Because, like... I'm so awesome and cool, and I can talk about whatever I want to talk about. Being humble is one trait, that one should lock onto and keep. It's something that can show your true colors. In other words, being humble is like being a good sport. YOu can be good at something, but that doesn't mean you should show it off to those who may not be as talented as you are. Now that I've said that, let's talk about how much of a better writer I am then you. Just kidding, of course. Could you imagine how annoying I'd be if I was like that? I mean, I'm already annoying, but like... Atleast I'm kind of humble, right? Right...? Don't answer that. Let's all try and have some fun today! Woohoo! Time to rant, because ranting is fun. What's with the people who only contact you when they need something? It pisses me right off. Like, I haven't talked to you since your girlfriend cheated on you, and now you lay this on me? Get out.... #Winning

Dependability... And other such things.
Can we depend on people to be dependable? Or is it just an endless cycle of "Mind helping me? I could really use the help!" "Sorry, but I have better things to do." Twenty minutes later you find this same person on Facebook. /That's/ our idea of dependable these days. :P I mean that jokingly, of course, because people can be dependable. It's not like all sense of trusting others has gone down the toilet. Some feel the need to be lazy, and will be as such until they get the proper convincing. Being dependable is a /good/ thing, and it will reflect in how things go far you. Be dependable at work, get a raise. Be dependable in school, get good grades. Be dependable in life, and enjoy all that it has to offer. And now, some quotes. God does not begin by asking our ability, only our availability, and if we prove our dependability,He will increase our capability. - Neal A Maxwell.
“heroic levels of customer service, dependability, reliability, and giving people a lot of freedom to try different things that might work.”

Honesty....
Honesty /would/ be this weeks topic. My skills in honesty are lacking, and I'll tell you right now... It /hurts/. Life can be seemingly perfect, until you choose a moment to flake out on honesty. Honesty will keep your morals, and beliefs, straight. I want nothing more, than to go back in time, and be honest. It would change so many events, and aspects of my life. It's been a rough weekend, and I just know I need to fix what has been broken, and become a better man because of it. Honesty it like a train, in my opinion. It will get you to where you need to go, but derail it, and you have one hell of a problem. Honesty can determine the way someone perceives you. It can prove to your friends and family, that you're worth caring about. Show the people that matter that they're worth the truth. Do everything in your power to make sure they can trust you from here on out. Don't go behind their back, and be under handed. It will only end in misery, and heartbreak, for both the parties. This is also something that needs to be said. Drop the drama, and adopt a llama. That is all.

Time to plan.
The best laid plans often go awry. I should know, because I've experienced that quite a bit. Now, when I say I've experienced that, I mean I've gone through the process of laying out everything I may need for a certain event, and it some how blew up in my face. How about this? I /planned/ to not be sick today, but look how that ended up? I /planned/ to have chicken noodle soup, but I'm stuck with clam chowder. Now, with this being said, planning doesn't /always/ turn out to be a poor choice. Planning your life and how you want things done is a great way to solve any problem. Always make sure the tools, or people, you plan to use to achieve your goals are present and accounted for. Never count on the goodness of other people. Humans, by nature, are greedy creatures, But that doesn't mean it is impossible for us to try and be good. I've strayed, forgive me. What we must always remember, is that.... I'm sorry.... I've lost my train of thought. I'm sick, and I'm trying to come up with something deep and relateable, but unfortunately, it isn't exactly happening. Professor? I'll get that homework assignment into your e-mail as soon as possible... Now... Where is that clam chowder....

Goals, and such.
I'm really planning on rambling through this entire blog post! I've been se busy with everything lately, that I have had nearly /no/ time to work on my blog. Goals are goals. Nothing less, nothing more. Some have lofty, while others goals consist of taking a shower on any given day! Want to hear a few of my goals? Of course you do! You're reading my blog, so it must be true. I would like to transfer to a four year school after only two years of community college. I'd like to raise a family, preferably with two sons and one girl. I plan to name my kids, Donald Francis Souza the fourth, Timothy Drake Souza and Stephanie Brown Souza. If you can guess where the last two names are from, I'll give you a nickel. That's a complete and utter lie, by the way. You're not getting a nickel. I'm rambling, and that's ok! The title of my blog is Ramblings of a Mad College Student! I have every right to do so! Besides, I know my goals are clear. I don't need a blog post on it to reaffirm that. Everything I do is for God, though. Felt like I needed to say that! Alright! I should be nearing two hundred words! If not, then here are a few song lyrics! Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world! Wait, that might be copyrighted! NO! They could sue! Or could they? I don't know.... RAMBLE OVER!

To Work Hard
To work hard, or not to work hard? That is the question. Is it nobler.... Alright, I'll stop. I'm having a little bit of trouble to decide on what to right about. I could write a short story on some guy working hard? Maybe some girl? I prefer to write stories, as I'm sure you all will be well aware of when this is all said and done.
"Ey, yo! Manny! Get over 'ere!" The foreman was a tall man, standing at a dizzying six foot seven. He was sitting at a lofty fifty seven years old, and still continued to work. He has served in Vietnam as the age of eighteen, which is where he accredits a majority of his working ability. He had started work straight out of the military, refusing to take sick days or vacation. The man was hard work personified, and he was proud of it. What he wasn't proud of, was the fact that he let so much of his life slip by. He missed his first daughters birth because of his commitment to his job. He missed birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals. Everything that can help determine your outlook on life was pushed to the back of his mind. He helped his family, there was no doubt about that, but at what cost?
Well that was fun, wasn't it? Tell me what you guys think of that. Now, I think hard work is a necessity, but you need to know when to live, as well. The foreman here, lost sight of that, and ended up regretting it in the end.

Introduction Part 2
I need more words! So, I'll post a cool song for everyone to enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIRE6iw-ws4&feature=bf_next&list=PL800F47C8DF9FF949&index=3 That song is called Young Folks by Peter Bjorn and John. The beat is so catchy and the lyrics just make you happy. I really enjoy the animation that was used to make the video, so that helps! I still need to learn how to make the links work /on/ my page. Oh well! So, how is everyone doing? Good, I hope. If not, why not? You better do something that makes you happy! Except.... Oh! You're gross! Come on, man! What?! Put that down! Alright... I'm done now. - D Suz
Introduction
Hello, everyone! This is Donnie's first blog, and I hope it's enlightening. I'm an eighteen year old college student, attending Crafton Hills in Yucaipa. I'm a huge sports fan, even though I'm currently lacking an athletic outlet. I want to be a writer when I grow up! Not just any writer, but a comic book writer for the company DC. I feel like I'm really at home when I'm writing an action scene that's meant to be depicted in panels! I listen to everything and anything, when it comes to music. I prefer hip hop or "rap", but like I said, everything and anything. I really am looking forward to reading what all you guys have to say! See you in class- D Suz
